Laura Taylor - Director of Women's & Children's Ministries
Laura Taylor is the Director of Women's & Children's Ministries at Forest Park United Methodist Church. She has been with FPUMC since August of 2001. She started out as the Children’s Minister and has also been leading Women’s Ministry for the past 4-5 years. She is from Tallahassee, FL and has one sister who lives there with her family.
Laura graduated from Florida State University in 1995 with a BS in Family and Child Sciences. During college, she was very active in the Wesley Foundation United Methodist Campus Ministry and served on staff there one year. After college she began to be called into the ministry and worked as a leader of another ministry team at the same Wesley Foundation. In 1998, Laura went to Asbury Theological Seminary and in 2001 she received a Masters in Christian Education. God opened the door for her to be at Forest Park UMC after graduation. Laura has a passion to see people of all ages have a real, close relationship with Jesus Christ and to walk in His ways.
Laura's favorite activities include, shopping, watching movies, loving on her three cats and three dogs, running, spending time with friends, eating out, yellow cake with chocolate icing , COFFEE!, singing in the Praise Band at church, any kind of travel, and especially going to other countries for mission trips.
