SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS NEEDED!!!
Well, the new school year is approaching fast and families will be getting back into a routine that is conducive to their children's education and activities. In order to fully educate our children, the Christian faith calls for Biblical education. Our Bible teaches Christian values such as respect, responsibility, kindness, generosity, obedience, forgiveness and honesty, all of which can pave the way for better learning in our schools. Our Sunday school strives to teach children these values and the plan of salvation with the Bible as our reference book. If we want Forest Park UMC to live and follow the Great Commission of Jesus, we need your commitments to carry out our responsibility. Remember the future Forest Park lies in our hands because we are the body of Christ. We need Sunday school teachers for kindergarten, elementary age children and for our youth. If you would like to make suggestions for better ways to meet our teaching responsibility or if you want to coordinate, teach, co-teach, or volunteer in other ways, please catch up with Pastor Kevin and let him know. We need more godly leaders and teachers to share Jesus with our children. Can U help?
First Call For Alpha Ya'll
How do crab legs and Jesus sound? That's right, Alpha is starting on Thur, Sept 25th at 5:59pm. Alpha is a program for the un-churched and skeptical folks out there. It is a fun way to discover if this "Christianity thing" is true. If you know someone, please invite them and you can come too. They are your ticket to a world-class experience, not to mention a couple of jokes, some serious good eatin, a great video and then "thuh discussion." Hardly ever do any fistfights break out...it's a "God thing." For more info, ask dave rich, eddie t and the lowretta show, nancy b, sharon b, or bobby w or call the office at 785-6296 and ask faith. It's a 10 week deal that ends on the Dec. 11th.
