Help Wanted: We need a Kindergarten teacher at 9:20am and Youth Bible teacher/s for 8am and 10:45am on Sundays.
Adult Sunday School Classes:
- Kant Get By (KGB) meets at 8:00 am in the Board Room. This class is a Christ Centered, God Seeking, loving, friendly, casual, Bible based study for imperfect people. We study, share on different books of the Bible and other Christian resource material. Age - wide range of adults. We are currently studying Ephesians.
- Christian Home Builders meets at 9:15 am in Room 8. Studying different books of the Bible, the format is lecture-based with some discussion. The age group is from 50 to 90.
- Thru the Bible (Faith to Life) meets at 9:15 am in Room 7. This is an all age study group focusing on the books of the Bible. We are currently studying Revelation.
- God's Champions meets at 9:15 in Room 1 of the Annex. This class studies various topics and is discussion based. Age group is mostly 30's and 40's but all are welcome.
- Genesis meets at 9:15 am in Room 6. In depth Christ centered Scripture lesson with guided discussion and life applications. This is a warm loving group in the 50 plus range, that makes every new walk-in feel like part of a family.
- The Seekers meets at 10:15 am in the conference room. Their focus is best stated in Deuteronomy 4:29 NKJV - "But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul."
On Sunday, August 8th, 2010 we will be completing our study of "The Top 10 List for Christians". We will begin a new study on August 15th titled, "SOME FOLKS FEEL the RAIN, Others Just Get Wet"--by James W Moore. This is a study considering the way Ray Charles "feels" a song he is singing compared to the way most of us relate to a song (Just Get Wet).
TANK (Time Acquiring New Knowledge)
Forest Park Youth meet in the annex at 8:00 and 10:40 am. This is a fun and welcoming group for grades 6-12.
(A new teacher needed for these classes.)
Children's Sunday School Classes
Children's Sunday School is designed to communicate the Word of God in an engaging way, and to help children apply Christian principles to their own day-to-day lives.
KIDZ WORSHIP (during the 10:45 service) - preschool 3-5 years go to Room 5 and the Genesis room and K - 5th grade go to the Fellowship Hall. The children join in the first portion of the worship service and then go to Kidz Worship after the "Children's Message."
9:15 A.M. Sunday School
- 3-5 year olds: Room 4
- Kindergarten: Room 3 - Age appropriate Bible stories from the Old and New Testaments.
- 1st-2nd grades: Room 5
- 3rd Grade: Room 10 - Bible based lessons that are relevant to issues arising in lives of third graders.
- 4th-5th grades: Room 9 - Students begin with prayer & praise. Lesson from Old & New Testaments - Bible memory verses and real life applications appropriate to the age group follow Scripture study. Emphasis is placed on becoming familiar with books of Bible and locating Scriptures.
